Children with Medical Handicaps (CMH)

The Children with Medical Handicaps Program (CMH) Is a two-fold program that is funded through the Ohio Department of Health.  This program provides services for children up to the age of 21.

The Diagnostic portion ensures that any child, regardless of resources, is able to obtain an evaluation by a Medical Specialist.

The Treatment portion of the program covers medical expenses and prescriptions for various approved medical conditions based on income qualifications.  The guidelines are such that they encompass families that are insured, uninsured as well as on Medicaid.

Both portions of the program provide assistance and advocacy by a local Public Health Nurse.
